Do More with the myKU Portal

Your KU experience is filled with a wide range of websites and applications. Whether you're a student managing your class schedules, enrolling and paying tuition, or a faculty or staff member advising, purchasing supplies, and managing your paychecks, it can be difficult to keep track of all the online places you need to go. That’s why we developed the myKU portal, where you can find many of the services you use most—all in one place.

Over the past 18 months, we’ve been working to enhance the design, navigation and functionality of myKU, making it quicker and easier for you to find important information and get things done online. Throughout the process, we worked with campus partners and gathered feedback from students, faculty and staff to identify needed changes and determine priorities.

Some of the changes are less obvious then others, so here’s a recap of just a few of the enhancements we’ve made over the past 18 months:

For Students

  • Enhanced design is better aligned with KU websites and provides new features, including a message from university leaders, KU news, IT service updates and links to key resources, such as HR, Blackboard and Enroll & Pay.
  • Personalized content is tied to your status as a student, so you’ll see information and links that are relevant to you.
  • Improved mobile experience makes it easier to get things done on the run.
  • Customized “My Dashboard” page allows you to add and move modules on the page to display the information you use the most.
  • With the “Menu” button under the search bar, you can access information and services without scrolling the links on the left side of the page.
  • “Notifications” shows you enrollment holds, academic notices, Library notices, Blackboard announcements and Parking notices.
  • My Progress summary was added to help you stay on track in completing your degree.
  • Jump into Rock Chalk Central, the online community for student organizations.

For Faculty & Staff

  • Enhanced design is better aligned with KU websites and provides new features, including a message from university leaders, KU news, IT service updates and links to key resources, such as HR and Enroll & Pay.
  • Personalized content is tied to your status as an employee, so you’ll see information and links that are relevant to you.
  • Improved mobile experience makes it easier to get things done on the run.
  • Customized “My Dashboard” page allows you to add and move modules on the page to display the information you use the most.
  • With the “Menu” button under the search bar, you can access information and services without scrolling the links on the left side of the page.
  • “Notifications” shows your enrollment holds, academic notices, Library notices, Blackboard announcements and Parking notices.
  • A new eWaste Recycling module makes it quicker and easier to dispose of old technology in a responsible and sustainable way.
  • Handle many of the basic HR/Pay tasks (e.g., view pay check, submit absence requests) directly from inside the myKU portal.
  • Shop in KUPPS with one click.
  • Advising enhancements, including access to the integrated schedule planner.

We are continuing to enhance myKU by adding new features and functions. If you have comments, questions or suggestions for improving myKU, send them to us at infotechnology@ku.edu.
