Media Classroom Equipment and Assistance

Please note: There are two sets of instructions. One is for the older analog classrooms and the other is for the updated digital classrooms.

There are several types of centrally scheduled classrooms on campus. Following are the capabilities that each room offers. 

Video Conference Classrooms

In these rooms, faculty members are able to:

  • Show video programs in DVD or VHS format
  • Play audio CDs
  • Show transparencies (document camera)
  • Display output from built-in computer (PC)
  • Display output from instructor-provided computer (VGA input provided)
  • Listen to digital audio playback from built-in or instructor-provided computer
  • Display 3-D objects or hardcopy print materials
  • Connect by video in real-time with remote-site classrooms.

 

Full Media Classrooms

In these rooms, faculty members are able to:

  • Show video programs in DVD or VHS format
  • Play audio CDs
  • Show transparencies (document camera)
  • Display output from built-in computer (PC)
  • Display output from instructor-provided computer (VGA input provided)
  • Listen to digital audio playback from built-in or instructor-provided computer
  • Display 3-D objects or hardcopy print materials

 

Media Lite Rooms

In these rooms, faculty members are able to:

  • Show video programs in DVD or VHS format
  • Play audio CDs
  • Show transparencies (document camera)
  • Display output from instructor-provided computer (VGA input provided)
  • Listen to digital audio playback from instructor-provided computer

 

Expanded Basic Rooms

In these rooms, faculty members are able to:

  • Show video programs in DVD or VHS format (video monitor display)
  • Play audio CDs
  • Show transparencies (document camera)

Please note: Other items may be checked out and connected to existing equipment.
