How to Get Microsoft Products

Students
Students can visit KU's Software Webstore to select and download Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft Windows for free under KU's Microsoft Campus Agreement.

Students who prefer to purchase a physical install disk can also purchase one on this website.

Faculty & Staff personal computers

The Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) provides KU faculty and staff access to one copy of Microsoft Office for use on a personal computer. The Microsoft Work at Home Program provides KU faculty and staff access to install one copy of Microsoft Windows on a personal computer that is used for campus-related work.

Faculty and staff can visit KU's Software Webstore to select and download Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft Windows under KU's Microsoft Campus Agreement. Microsoft Office costs $9.95 and Microsoft Windows costs $9.75. 

KU Owned machines

University owned computers are covered by the Microsoft Campus Agreement and are eligible for upgrades to Microsoft Office and Windows. Departmental technical staff need to contact the KU IT Licensing Specialist at 864-0383 for a Volume Licensing Key.
