How to Get Microsoft Products
Students can visit kusoftware.onthehub.com to select and download Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft Windows for free under KU's Microsoft Campus Agreement.
Students who prefer to purchase a physical install disk, can do so through http://softwareagreement.ku.edu/. When the website process is complete, students will be directed to the Tech Shop in the KU Bookstore in the Kansas Union or Jayhawk Central on the Edwards campus to pick up their disk.
Faculty & Staff personal computers
The Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP) provides KU faculty and staff access to one copy of Microsoft Office for use on a personal computer.
To use this benefit, faculty and staff should log in to the myKU portal. Under the “General” tab is a website link, a KU program code and instructions for downloading (and purchasing) the products.
KU Owned machines
University owned computers are covered by the Microsoft Campus Agreement and are eligible for upgrades to Microsoft Office and Windows. Departmental technical staff need to contact the KU IT Licensing Specialist at 864-0383 for a Volume Licensing Key.
