Using Multifunction Devices

Multifunction devices (MFDs) are available in many campus locations as well as in departments. Multifunction devices provide printing, copying, scanning and faxing services all from one device. Review the information below for using basic tasks in central campus or departmental locations. If you are a campus visitor, see the Visitor Access to Printing and Copying page for information about using multifunction devices on campus.

Basic tasks:

Below are basic tasks that can be done on most multifunction devices with links to KU IT Knowledgebase articles about each task. You can also search the KU IT Knowledge Base for more articles about printing. If you need information on additional functions, refer to the User Guide for the device you are using (see list under "MFD User Guides" in the column to the right). If a function does not work on the device you are using, please refer to Getting Help for assistance.
