Now You Can Customize myKU Portal

Earlier this year we redesigned and added new functionality to the myKU portal. The changes we made were based on customer feedback about the portal, and since that time we’ve continued to gather customer feedback and make small changes in the portal to improve the user experience.

In the feedback we have received from KU faculty, staff and students, two suggestions were often made:

  • Ability for portal users to customize their page with the information they use most
  • Easier access to menu links without scrolling

On Oct. 11, we made another significant update to the myKU portal based on this feedback. There are two major enhancements:

  • We added a new tab called “My Dashboard,” which you can customize yourself. You now can add, remove and reposition content from this page to create the experience that works best for you.
  • We added a “Menu” button under the search bar so you can access information and services without scrolling the links on the left side of the page. Just click the “Menu” button and choose a link from the pop-up window.
