Cable TVKU IT offers cable TV services for departments, including activation, termination or movement of your existing service. Cable TV service is provided to the University community via the campuswide broadband system. Conference CallingConference calling options are available via the device for analog telephones, and digital and VoIP telephones. Users can also place conference calls via an Intercall Conferencing account. Housing Wi-Fi & Cable TVKU partners with Apogee (ResNet) to provide advanced network services and cable TV to campus residence halls, scholarship halls and on-campus apartments. Internet & Network ServicesThe KU campus data network provides for over 15,000 faculty, staff, and student connections. KU IT is responsible for the engineering, design, installation and ongoing day-to-day operation and maintenance of all internet systems on campus. KU DirectoriesKU provides the following directory services: KU Online Directory, KU People Search, KU Telephone Directory Assistance. Music on HoldService that allows licensed, pre-recorded music and KU-related items of interest to be played while callers are on hold. Currently for Lawrence campus phone numbers only. Phone & Voice ServicesKU IT is the primary provider of phone and voice services at the University, including traditional phone services and voice over Internet (VoIP). Video ServicesKU IT offers a variety of video services for faculty, staff and students in support of learning, scholarship and creative endeavor. Voice MailJ-Talk is a complete call answering and voice mail system for University faculty and staff office phones. Web/Video ConferencingKU IT offers two options for self-managed web/video conferencing: Blackboard Collaborate and Skype for Business. KU also offers multi-point video conferencing services at select campus locations. Wi-FiKU IT provides wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) service options for anyone needing access while on campus. Wi-Fi While TravelingKU has joined a global consortium of nearly 6,000 institutions offering quick and easy access to local Wi-Fi networks via eduroam, a network access system developed for the international research and education community. |
