What does Wireless First mean?
Our goal is to eventually have 80% of users and devices connecting via wireless on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses. There will always be a need for some wired connections, and we will work with faculty and staff to ensure the right connection for all devices and equipment.
- Increased coverage and capacity of Wi-Fi network on campus provides
- Greater mobility and flexibility for smartphones, laptops and tablets
- Stronger security and more robust security controls
- Provides options for future enhanced features
