Service Updates

We will be performing maintenance on the Lecture Capture service on Saturday morning, August 9, from midnight - 2 a.m. Playback and editing of existing echoes will not be available, while Recording will work.

On Sunday August 3, from 4 - 6 a.m., we will be performing network maintenance that will affect some campus buildings (click on title to see list). This will cause two network outages of 15-20 minutes while equipment is power cycled.

On Sunday, August 3, 2014 we will be performing maintenance on the service that removes spam messages from inbound and outbound email.  No outage or interruption in email service is expected during this change.

Blackboard will be unavailable from Saturday, August 2 at midnight - 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 3 while we upgrade to the new version.  Please see to read about the new features.

New Features Coming to Blackboard

As part of our efforts to improve Blackboard, KU is introducing four new Blackboard modules: Collaborate Suite, Content Management, Community Engagement and Outcomes Assessment. We expect to launch Collaborate Suite this fall.

Technology to Support Research

Nearly every day in the KU Today e-newsletter from KU News, you can read about the innovative research your colleagues are working on here at KU. Strong research is vitally important to our standing as the state’s flagship university and our membership in the elite Association of American Universities (AAU). KU Information Technology is collaborating with campus partners to strengthen our technology infrastructure and implement new solutions to support KU researchers.
