We will update KU’s Blackboard system to the most recent version during the break before the start of Fall 2015 classes. This update will take place on Sunday, Aug. 9, from midnight to noon. Blackboard will not be available during this time. We make significant updates like this to our technology infrastructure between semesters to minimize disruption for students, faculty and staff.

The look and feel of Blackboard will not change with this update, which includes patches to improve functionality and address security issues. The date and time of this update are inside our normal Blackboard Maintenance Window, and the Blackboard Steering Committee has approved. We understand that this extended outage may still cause inconvenience for you, and we thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to optimize Blackboard for the fall semester.
