Service Updates

We will be performing maintenance on the Virtual Server environment from Friday, August 1, at 8 p.m until Sunday, August 3, 11 p.m.  We do not anticipate any service outages during this maintenance due to the redundancy built into the hardware. 


We will be performing maintenance to the Content Management System (CMS) on Sunday, July 27 10 p.m. - Monday July 28, 5 a.m..  While we do not anticipate any service interruption, there is a possibility that some CMS sites will be unavailable while the cache is cleared. 


We will be performing routine maintenance on Oracle databases on Sunday morning July 27, from 6 - 8 a.m.  We do not anticipate any service outages during this maintenance. 



We will be performing maintenance to Central File Storage on Sunday, July 27 from midnight - 2 a.m, some shares and home directories will be unavailable (5 - 10 minutes) during this maintenance.  



We will be performing maintenance on the Lecture Capture service on Sunday July 27, from midnight - 1 a.m. The Lecture Capture service will be unavailable during this time. 


 Audix will be unavailable between 8 - 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 as we make software changes to the Avaya Communication Manager on the Lawrence campus.  


The Library has informed us that the Voyager Catalog will be unavailable Saturday July 26, from 6 a.m - Sunday July 27, 9 a.m.


Google searches on KU websites will be unavailable on Friday, July 25 from 6 p.m. - midnight while we perform maintenance. 

New Features Coming to Blackboard

As part of our efforts to improve Blackboard, KU is introducing four new Blackboard modules: Collaborate Suite, Content Management, Community Engagement and Outcomes Assessment. We expect to launch Collaborate Suite this fall.
