Description —
MediaHub is an online platform where KU faculty and staff can host videos and make them available for viewing. MediaHub's interface and functionality is similar to YouTube, though uploaded videos are automatically marked as private initially. The MediaHub account owner can then choose to change the privacy settings on videos and share them with others. Only the account owner can view or manage videos under that account. The account owner can share videos via direct link or an embedded HTML code.
Instructors can use MediaHub to share videos within their Canvas courses. If a video is uploaded to Canvas, it is automatically available in KU MediaHub, and vice-versa. This feature conveniently allows course instructors to upload once, and deliver in a number of different ways.
In addition to uploading existing videos, users can create videos using the Express Capture or Kaltura Capture capabilities within MediaHub.
