Graduating? What Happens to Your Accounts?

Graduating students will lose access to most KU services and accounts, including KU email, 210 days after leaving the University. You will lose access to Microsoft Office and OneDrive for Business immediately after graduation. If you want to keep any emails or files, be sure to back up the data to your own personal file storage service or device before you lose access. You will receive reminder emails 60, 30 and seven days before you lose access your KU email account. Remember to avoid using your KU email as a contact for job searches or other professional purposes at the end of your time at KU.

Much of your data left on KU servers and accounts will eventually be deleted. You will never lose access to your KU Online ID or Enroll & Pay, so you can continue accessing academic, financial and other information in the future. Learn more about access to technology resources after leaving KU.
