KU IT is transitioning from ServiceNow to Team Dynamix (TDX) to better serve the needs of the entire campus. While ServiceNow worked well for us, TDX offers a more comprehensive solution for other departments, and we’re committed to embracing this change to create a more unified and efficient experience for everyone.

This decision reflects our guiding principles to empower, innovate and transform, adopting solutions that benefit the entire university, even when it means adjusting our own approach.

What This Means for You

If you've used ServiceNow as an IT technician in the past, you'll need to transition to TDX. Here's what you need to know:

Timeline

  • November 2024: Training sessions
  • First week of December 2024: TDX goes live
  • End of December 2024: ServiceNow will be discontinue

Training

Sessions will be held throughout November to equip you for the transition. Campus IT Support Staff from all units are welcome, and will receive an email with links to register for training. End user training for all other staff will be scheduled and communicated separately at a later date.

TDX General Tech Training (choose one):

  • Friday, November 8, from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM via Zoom
  • Wednesday, November 20, from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM via Zoom

TDX Reporting Training (choose one):

  • Tuesday, November 12, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM via Zoom
  • Thursday, November 21, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM via Zoom

We appreciate your support and participation as we transform our technology solutions to better serve the KU community. Together, we can achieve a successful transition and look forward to the improvements a comprehensive and consistent IT service management platform across the university will bring. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Bill Rachal at wrachal@ku.edu.
