  • KU Anywhere VPN – KU’s virtual private network (VPN) allows secure access to resources on the KU network from an off-campus computer with internet access.
  • OneDrive for Business – Store your files in the cloud with OneDrive for Business, so you can access them anytime and anywhere you have internet access.
  • Security Info for Travel – Visit our IT Security When Traveling page for important information about traveling with KU data.
  • Eduroam – Access eduroam WiFi using your KU Online ID at thousands of institutions around the world. To log in, enter your username as "onlineID@home.ku.edu." Simple Syllabus is Now Available

KU is introducing Simple Syllabus, a new syllabus management platform that simplifies the creation and publishing of your course syllabi. While optional for classes this summer, for fall 2024 courses it will be required to either upload your syllabus document or build it directly within Simple Syllabus.

Simple Syllabus offers numerous benefits to make your life easier:

  • Time-Saving – It auto-populates course info, policies and more, saving you valuable time.
  • Customizable – While benefiting from pre-populated content, you can fully customize by adding images, text and other elements.
  • Accessibility – Built-in accessibility tools help ensure ADA compliance and an inclusive learning environment.
  • Easy Updates – Work ahead on future syllabi, with content carrying forward each term for seamless revisions.
  • Canvas Integration – Assignments, requirements and due dates sync automatically between platforms.
  • Security – Access to the platform is secured through Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication and careful provisioning.

To learn more about Simple Syllabus, review our comprehensive information and FAQs within KU's Canvas resources. Questions? Contact KU IT Educational Technology at itedtech@ku.edu or 785-864-2600.
