Description

Most online services (e.g., KU email, Canvas, myKU portal, etc.) at KU require a personal account to access. Personal accounts for students are generally set up after they are admitted and before they attend orientation. Personal accounts for faculty and staff are generally set up after an offer letter is signed.

New Students and New Employees

Your first step after KU Information Technology creates your personal account is to set up your KU Online ID and password. Your KU Online ID and password are the keys to accessing most of KU's online services. Passwords may be changed at any time, but all users must change their password every 210 days.

Current Students and Employees

Log in to MyIdentity Services to manage your account, including changing your password.

Using Single Sign On to Access KU Services

Students and employees log in to most KU systems and services using Single Sign On (SSO). Enter your KU Online ID and password on a KU SSO page. SSO allows you to reuse your login to connect to other services at your institution that use SSO. You'll be able to transition to these other services faster and with less of an interruption.

Support

For help with password-related issues and other technical concerns, contact the IT Customer Service Center at itcsc@ku.edu or 785-864-8080.

Additionally, the KU MyIdentity Services page offers several useful tools, including the ability for students, faculty and staff to set a recovery email address so they can reset their password on their own.
