Description

A secure collaboration platform for storing, organizing, sharing, and accessing information from any device. SharePoint is cloud-based, so files are available anywhere with an internet connection. KU also refers to SharePoint as "myCommunity."

SharePoint includes the following tools and capabilities:

  • Create, upload, store and share files online.
  • Access documents anywhere you have an internet connection.
  • Sync files to your local computer.
  • Co-author and co-edit documents.
  • Manage personal and team workflows, forms and lists.
  • OneNote integration.
  • Shared online calendar.
  • Create individual and group/team sites.

SharePoint also serves as the back-end platform for Microsoft Teams file storage and sharing.

Access

Log in to Office 365 with your KU Online ID and password.

Faculty and Staff

Teams is part of Office 365, which is installed on all KU-managed workstations. Office 365 also is available at no cost for personal/home computers.

Students

Teams is part of Office 365, which is available to students at no cost for personal/home computers. Office 365 also is available in campus computer labs.
