Description —
A secure collaboration platform for storing, organizing, sharing, and accessing information from any device. SharePoint is cloud-based, so files are available anywhere with an internet connection. KU also refers to SharePoint as "myCommunity."
SharePoint includes the following tools and capabilities:
- Create, upload, store and share files online.
- Access documents anywhere you have an internet connection.
- Sync files to your local computer.
- Co-author and co-edit documents.
- Manage personal and team workflows, forms and lists.
- OneNote integration.
- Shared online calendar.
- Create individual and group/team sites.
SharePoint also serves as the back-end platform for Microsoft Teams file storage and sharing.
Access —
Log in to Office 365 with your KU Online ID and password.
Faculty and Staff
Teams is part of Office 365, which is installed on all KU-managed workstations. Office 365 also is available at no cost for personal/home computers.
Students
Teams is part of Office 365, which is available to students at no cost for personal/home computers. Office 365 also is available in campus computer labs.
