Summer is the perfect time to freshen up your courses for the upcoming semester, and KU IT is here to help. Here are a few tips and resources for your summer course refresh.
Download Your Blackboard Content
The final day to access Blackboard materials will be Sept. 29. To ensure you have access to your course content, we recommend downloading all materials from your old Blackboard courses. Reporting an IT Incident? Use our New Number
To address urgent IT security issues, such as accidentally clicking on a malicious link, suspicious login requests or concerns that your password or other personal data might be compromised, we urge you to call 785-864-9003 immediately.
By calling 785-864-9003, the Information Technology Security Office (ITSO) is notified and the first available ITSO team member will respond to the incident. While we still encourage reporting via abuse@ku.edu for non-urgent issues, the new number allows us to respond quicker to help protect you and the campus community.
KU Libraries Streaming Catalogue
The KU Libraries has recently expanded its streaming video catalogue, thanks to new agreements with various vendors. The expansion includes nearly 10,000 titles through Kanopy, the top 1,000 titles from Swank Digital Campus, and over 1,200 from Films on Demand’s World Cinema Collection. We encourage you to take full advantage of this valuable resource that offers a wealth of educational and documentary content. To access the comprehensive catalogue of streaming resources, visit the Streaming Video LibGuide.
Spotlight: Academic Systems Steering Committee (ASSC)
The Academic Systems Steering Committee (ASSC) works with KU IT to exchange ideas and feedback, guide our online teaching and learning tools, and ensure our initiatives are informed by a faculty perspective. The steering committee is comprised of representatives from KU’s academic schools, and units such as CODL, KU Libraries, the Registrar’s Office and Jayhawk Global. We thank them for their hard work in improving our academic technology offerings for the benefit of faculty and students.
